On 25th October at St John of Jerusalem church, our sponsored Sleep Out will raise funds for Hackney Night Shelter to provide 26 people who would otherwise be on the streets with a safe place to sleep, 365 nights a year.
The Sleep Out is in no way meant to replicate what it is like to sleep rough but instead to raise awareness about, and funds for our work. It will be very safe and we will have small comforts like the toilets and food provided.
We'll gather together on the evening of 25th October for soup, a little live music and to hear some reflections from previous guests who have experienced rough sleeping. In the morning we'll head indoors for a sit down cooked breakfast together.
The Sleep Out is an brilliant opportunity for individuals, families, local businesses businesses and community groups to get together and raise to raise vital funds to keep our shelters open.
We receive no government funding and rely on the support of the community, individuals and charitable grants. Let's make this a great night and raise lots of money!
