Our vision is for routes out of homelessness for people in need.
Hackney Night Shelter has worked with the local community to provide shelter and support to homeless people for over 25 years.
We provide year-round emergency shelter for homeless people with structured individual plans to assist them to move into longer term accommodation.
This is our story
Hackney Night Shelter has been opening doors to homeless people in the borough since 1996.
How we work
Our guests are supported to not only find more stable accommodation but also to help them to rebuild their lives.
Read about some of our guests, our volunteers and people that support us.
Our women's shelter
Our women's shelter provides vital support for some of London's most vulnerable women
Hackney Night Shelter is led by a group of Trustees and a Charity Director, supported by a small staff team and many, many volunteers.
Each year we measure how we help to improve the lives of homeless people in Hackney. We publish an Annual Report highlighting key areas of our work.
