We recently welcomed a young Kurdish man into the shelter. He was evicted from NASS accommodation after receiving his limited leave to remain status, and had been sleeping rough since. He was sleeping in Bushy Park, which is an area of London that has received recent media attention, due to numerous attacks on people experiencing homelessness sleeping there. We are all very relieved that he is now staying with us in the safety of our shelter and even more glad to hear that he has just secured a place in supported accommodation. He will be moving on to longer term accommodation after staying with us for less than a week. This is a real success and we’re very pleased for him!
